TWO men have been arrested today after a dog's body was dumped in a canal, weighted down by dumbells.
The dog was found in the Worcester-Birmingham Canal near Blackpole Industrial Estate on Thursday, September 24.
Details of the horrific incident were exclusively revealed on the front page of your Worcester News shortly afterwards, prompting outrage from animal-loving readers.
The men - arrested at separate city addresses between 8am and 9am today - are being interviewed by RCPCA officers at South Worcestershire Divisional Police Headquarters in Castle Street, Worcester.
