THE Princess Royal is visiting Worcester next week to see behind the scenes at Worcester Warriors.
Princess Anne will be at Sixways Stadium on Tuesday to learn about the rugby club's development and its work with local charities.
She will be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Slick Systems Stand and meet with members including Director of Rugby Mike Ruddock and club captain Pat Sanderson.
School children will be there to showcase how the club's community work at the Warriors PFS (Playing for Success) Study Centre has made a difference to young lives.
Charlie Little, general manager at Warriors, said: "Over the last 10 years or so the club has seen an unprecedented level of development and growth, both on the pitch and off it.
"Her visit is in recognition of this and the importance that rugby now has in the city of Worcester.
"It's fantastic that Princess Anne has chosen to recognise this and come to visit us."
The Princess Royal will also be given a demonstration of the Something to Chew On project, a new health programme delivered by the club in partnership with the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The tour will end with Princess Anne unveiling a plaque to commemorate her visit.
