A WORCESTERSHIRE human resources company is offering employers the opportunity to benefit from a free training event focusing on equality and anti-discriminatory practice in the workplace.
The training session, taking place at the YMCA in Worcester, as well as at venues in Kidderminster and Birmingham, is part of a wider programme of events taking place during Diversity Week next week.
Organisers hope the extensive schedule of events, staged by a wide variety of organisations and community groups, will help raise the profile of the seven strands of diversity across the West Midlands – age, disability, ethnicity and race, gender, transgender, religion and belief, and sexual orientation.
Roots HR, based in Kidd-erminster, specialises in working with small and medium size organisations, especially those within the voluntary or community sector.
The free training sessions being offered by the company on Tuesday , Wed-nesday and Thursday will feature a series of learning outcomes, based on recognising, understanding and handling issues of equality and diversity.
Ideal for managers at any level, the four-hour sessions will include a range of learning styles and techniques with practical workshop activities.
During the training there will be a complimentary lunch, where delegates can take advantage of networking opportunities.
The free sessions are limited to 20 delegates per venue and run from 10am to 2.30pm (including lunch). For more information or to book a place, visit rootshr.org.uk/training-courses or call 0845 5438429.
