THE Great Fire of London was brought to life for pupils at King’s Hawford school.
Children were thrown back in time when local education company Discover History spent a day teaching them all about the fire, a topic they are studying.
The children learned how dangerous life was in 1666, with open fires and candles being common place and most items being made from wood. They were also given model houses to create a miniature Penny Lane.
Discovery History also highlighted the fact that King Charles I fled from Worcester in 1651, following the battle that ended the English Civil War.
Helen Lee, who works for Discover History, said: “The day went very well.”
