A GIANT Christmas tree has taken pride of place underneath St Andrew’s Spire in Worcester.
The 21ft tall Norway spruce, which was installed by Worcester City Council arborists yesterday, will be used for the city’s St Richard’s Hospice’s Lights of Love event.
The annual ceremony will start at Worcester Cathedral at 6.30pm tomorrow, followed by a candlelit procession to the Christmas tree.
Readers are being invited to dedicate lights – in memory of a loved one, in celebration of a birth or for someone who will be absent this Christmas but still in their thoughts.
To take part, visit strichards.org.uk/lightsoflove or call 01905 763963.
