ON A beautiful sunny morning, Sylvia, our president, opened our meeting with 22 members and two visitors. The minutes, finances and correspondence were read.
Recipe books are now available at £2.50, great for Christmas presents. Ann spoke in depth on the autumn theme craft project meeting for next year.
Sylvia welcomed our speaker Dennis Lee, who talked about on Scottish Wildlife Holidays and showed us slides. He was told to take thermal clothes and be prepared for the cold conditions.
He stayed in a comfortable bungalow near the mountains, there was a ski lift to use. There were squirrels, red deer, owls and many birds. There was also a statue of the marines.
Photographers sell their photos and books of the Cairngorms and other sights. We thanked Mr Lee, then had our refreshments with freshly baked rock cakes from Judy. The raffle was drawn.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 11 from 10am to noon. It will be our annual meeting. New visitors are most welcome.
