TWO cars were involved in a crash which brought rush hour motorway traffic to a halt this morning.
Emergency services closed the northbound carriageway of the M5 between Droitwich and Junction 4A for the M42 while the accident was cleared.
A number of people were treated for minor injuries following the smash at about 7.50am, but nobody needed hospital treatment.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We had reports of a two-car collision but all persons were out of the vehicles.
"It was just minor injuries and nobody was conveyed to hospital."
A Central Motorway Police Group spokesman added: "The crash wasn't anything too serious and it was cleared by about 8.30am."
One lane of the motorway is still closed while clearing work continues while the wreckage has been moved to the hard shoulder.
