This artist’s impression show what plans for 34 new affordable homes on the site of a former youth centre could look like.
As reported in your Worcester News, the former Warndon Youth Centre site in Chedworth Drive, Warndon, Worcester, was subject to controversy earlier this year when Worcestershire County Council initially refused a bid from Worcester Community Housing for the site – a decision that was later reversed.
WCH is now working with Worcester architects DJD to develop plans.
They are now hosting an open afternoon at the old Warndon Library to give local residents the chance to have a look at the plans and to share their views on them on Wednesday, November 11 between 3pm and 6pm at the old Warndon Library in Cranham Drive.
WCH's Customer Services Director Jean Dalziel said: “0There will be something for families of all sizes to rent ranging from one-bed flats through to three-bed houses. Eight of the homes will be available for low-cost home ownership."
All the comments made by residents will be looked at in detail and, where possible, incorporated into the plans. WCH is looking to submit a planning application for the site before the end of this year.
