WORCESTER bands came together to make the city’s Oxjam event a huge success.
Nineteen local acts, from metal bands to acoustic singer songwriters, took part in the fund-raiser and played live in four venues over two days. The free gigs, which took place at the Firefly and the Pig and Drum in Lowesmoor, Keystones in Copenhagen Street, and the Crown and Anchor in Hylton Road, raised money for Oxfam. Organiser Keli Webb said: “It was jam-packed full of great acts and we raised £635.”
Proceeds will help combat poverty across the world. Above: Zebedy Rays frontman Adam Hickman in action.
