GREENHOUSE growers and gardeners can keep smiling with the mild autumn weather set to continue.
Temperatures will feel warmer than normal for November although the county is likely to see more wet and windy spells during this week.
Worcester News weatherman Paul Damari said the high pressure systems which have brought the warm, drier-than-average October would be replaced by a weather system from the Atlantic bringing blustery winds.
Hill walkers were facing gusts topping 50mph in exposed areas such as the Malvern Hills earlier today, with the week ahead a mix of dry bright days and the odd wet and windy spell.
Average temperatures next week should settle between 13C-15C (55F-59F), above the usual average 9C (48F).
“It’s good news for people with greenhouses because it looks like we’ll keep temperatures above average for this time of year and that’s going to keep their heating bills down,” said Mr Damari.
“And the temperatures are keeping us frost free so gardeners will benefit,” said Mr Damari.
“This is also going to help the county council because they won’t have to be doing much gritting.”
He added that the likelihood of any severe frost this month would diminish the longer the milder spells continue.
