THERE is still time to enter Worcester’s first ever Superhero Challenge.
People of all ages have already signed up to take part in the fund-raiser, which is happening across the city tomorrow.
Teams will spend the day racing around Worcester, undertaking various sporting and cerebral challenges in a bid to win prizes.
There is an emphasis on having fun, but competitors will also be raising vital money for the Prince’s Trust youth charity.
The deadline for entries has now been extended so people can sign up on the day.
Teams must be no more than five members, but can be of any age and ability.
“We want to give the local community an active, family, fun day they will remember, that offers excellent value for money and is for a good cause,” said local Prince’s Trust fund-raiser Bob Marley.
Worcester’s major sporting institutions are involved in Superhero Challenge, with Worcestershire County Cricket Club flinging open the doors at New Road for a bowling competition; Birmingham City Football Club joining forces with Worcester City FC to stage a soccer shoot out at nearby Pitchcroft; and the Worcester Wolves basketball club overseeing games at the City Youth Centre in City Walls Road.
There will also be indoor go karting and rock climbing, a fire hose challenge, mask making and brass rubbing.
The action will start at 10.30am when contestants will leave Bushwackers in The Trinity, which is being used as the Superhero Challenge base. Teams will then have three hours to tot up as many points as possible.
