The high street in your home

SHOPPING online could not be easier now thanks to one Worcester company which has taken the high street to the information super highway.

A new firm called Gemsta.com, in Wildwood Drive, Spetchley, Worcester, has launched a new website which means you can go virtual shopping from the comfort of your own home.

Visitors to the site, which was developed by architects, can surf the internet and visit a number of shopping streets, malls and plazas and access about 500 familiar and unusual brands.

There is also the option to compare the prices and offers of more than five million of the latest consumer items through the Gemsta compare search tool.

Richard Laing, chief executive of Gemsta.com, said: “In the era of iPlayer, Xbox and PlayStation, why not have a 3D multimedia homepage that is capable of delivering great content in a way that is intuitive for users and creates a real experience.

“We believe the internet should be a safe, fast, exciting and visually pleasing experience. We want to keep it real, accessible, useful and credible but, above all, it needs to be fun for users of all ages.”

All brands are categorised and grouped according to products to make browsing easy for anyone.

Bargain hunters can also enjoy a range of discount vouchers, available at the click of a mouse.

The latest DVD and game trailers can also be viewed in a multi-media zone, which includes fashion shows and music on video screens.
