MACHINE tool giant Yamazaki Mazak is nearing the completion of a new European Technology Centre on the site of its European headquarters in Worcester.
The new centre in Badgeworth Drive, Warndon, will welcome its first guests at a major opening week event between Wednesday, November 25, and Tuesday, December 1 Occupying some 2,500 sq m, the centre has been described as a “landmark building”, with its stunning glass frontage and environmentally friendly architectural design. The large 1,320 sq m showroom is designed to display the complete range of Mazak machine tools together under one roof, from the smallest two-axis lathe to the largest most advanced Integrex e-Machines, as well as Mazak laser cutting machines.
“This significant investment shows Yamazaki Mazak’s support for manufacturing and ensures we are best placed to demonstrate how value, innovation and performance will lead to increased productivity and profitability for Mazak customers – our VIPs,” said David Jack, Mazak’s European group managing director.
“The opening week will give visitors an opportunity to see the very latest machines and the technology and manufacturing support we can offer in action.”
In addition to the array of machine tool and manufacturing technology on display, visitors will also experience how multi-tasking machines offer increased productivity benefits, thanks to Mazak’s Done-in-One machining philosophy.
They will also see how automation systems and factory management solutions will increase productivity.
The new Mazatrol Smart control will also be on show, as well as Mazatrol Matrix, with its intelligent functions, all of which deliver improved operator friendliness and productivity enhancing features.
