YOUNGSTERS in Droitwich have put their ideas and questions about local issues and concerns to councillors.
Spa Youth Zone held a citizenship day for young people from Droitwich Spa High School.
Rob Mace, manager, said: “Getting feedback from young people not only on the youth zone but also on other local issues of concern is essential so that we’re meeting their needs. The youth zone is an ideal place to get young people thinking about a wide range of community issues in a relaxed and informal environment.”
Ideas included providing more activities for girls, providing dance and drama classes and also running more projects based around music and street art.
They will be taken into consideration for future development now that the centre will be kept open next year.
More than 200 young people have used the Spa Youth Zone every week since it opened in May. The project was funded through the Worcestershire Partnership Health Improvement Fund along with other local partners.
