A MISSING black cat has been found safe and well – two years later.

Harvey disappeared from a home in Bromyard Road, St John’s, Worcester, in 2007.

His owner at that time went to great lengths to find him, but to no avail.

Now the missing cat has emerged in Laugherne Road, just minutes from where he first went awol.

Fran Holder, manager of the Worcester and District Cats Protection shop in St John’s, said: “A lady had been feeding Harvey for about five weeks, believing he was a stray. I took him to Severn Veterinary Centre in Tybridge Street and we discovered he was microchipped.

“When we traced the owner she was shocked that he had turned up. Unfortunately, her circumstances have changed and she’s not in a position to take him back, so we’re looking to find a new home for him now.”

Miss Holder believes someone may have some information about where eight-year-old Harvey has been over the past couple of years.
