YOUNGSTERS have learned all about Worcester’s Guildhall and the role the city’s mayoral office has within the community.
Year five pupils at Warndon Primary School were given a grand tour of the historic building situated off the High Street by deputy mayor Mike Layland.
Headteacher Simon Tranter said the children discovered the building at the beginning of the month as part of the school’s curriculum work looking at different centres and the services they offer in the community.
“They thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience,” said Mr Tranter.
“They got to see a part of Worcester they might not have already seen and to meet a person, or institution in many ways, and understand the role and importance that office has in the community.”
