Cash to help army cadets is money well-spent
WORCESTERSHIRE Army Cadet Force League (WACFL) donated £2,000 of funds to cadets across the county at their third annual luncheon.
Dozens of guests attended the event at the Chateau Impney Hotel, near Droitwich.
Guest of honour was Air Marshal Sir Roger Austin, who praised the work of the league, the cadets and the adult assistants.
He pointed out the great need to support the cadet forces and praised their work in giving young people an aim in life.
WACFL chairman Raymond Seale stressed the importance of raising funds to ensure the cadets had support.
The Air Cadet Band of Droitwich provided music for the day.
