THE president welcomed 32 members to the October meeting.
Pat Keen will be running the skittles team again this year. The Christmas meeting will be held at the Fir Tree as last year.
The making crackers meeting will be on Thursday, November 12. Jean Bolter asked for all names to be handed in for the Cardiff shopping trip on Wednesday, November 25. The Play Reading Group will restart on Wednesday, November 4, at 2.15pm at the home of Mary Cross.
Peter Clement from the National Trust gave a slide show and talk on the Neptune Coastal Campaign. He illustrated the interests of the National Trust other than stately homes, including 14 islands round the coasts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The competition of a coastal scene was won by Mary Gray with Jean Brettell second. The raffle was won by Pat Keen.
The next meeting, which is the annual meeting, will be on Tuesday, November 10.
