A PUBLIC meeting has been arranged to showcase plans for a new medical centre in Worcester.
The meeting about plans for the £6.75 million Northwick Medical Centre in Northwick Road is scheduled to take place at the Magdalene Hall in St George’s Square in Barbourne, Worcester, between noon and 6.30pm on Wednesday.
The new centre will incorporate patients from two existing city surgery practices - Berwyn House Surgery in Shrubbery Avenue and Thorneloe Lodge Surgery in Barbourne Road.
The centre will feature new GP consultation rooms, a minor operations theatre and an in-house pharmacy, offering face-to-face meetings with midwives, health visitors and district nurses and 100 parking spaces.
Dr Charlie Harris of Berwyn House and Dr Kelvin Laidlaw of Thorneloe Lodge will be present for some of the time to answer questions.
Representatives from architects, Bundred & Goode will also be present and members of the public will be able to view three-dimensional artists impressions and submit suggestions.
All are welcome.
