ESTATE agents Taylors has opened a new Worcester branch in Warndon Villages to supplement its existing office in St John’s.

In Berkeley Shopping Centre, the Warndon practice is opposite Tesco Express and Leapfrog children’s nursery.

To support the launch, Taylors has employed a new team of staff that includes two negotiators and a mortgage consultant from Countrywide Mortgage Services, Britain’s largest mortgage broker.

The team will be overseen by Carol Shone, the new branch manager, and regional manager James Coghlan.

Mrs Shone, Warndon Villages branch manager, said: “There is particularly high demand for properties in the Berkeleys and Lyppard areas, especially in new developments. Two, three and four-bedroom detached homes remain most popular in both the Warndon and St John’s areas.”

James Coghlan, regional manager for Taylors Estate Agents in Worcester, said: “The property market in Warndon and St John’s has picked up during 2009 and we are very optimistic about 2010. Nationally, there have been positive signs that buyers and sellers are now re-emerging.

“Taylors has seen a 40 per cent increase in the number of viewings over the last six months. The launch of the latest office will allow us to reach a much larger audience by extending our office network and increasing our team of local negotiators and mortgage consultants.”
