CHILDREN at a Worcester school brought baskets full of fruit and vegetables to older people as part of their harvest festival.
Youngsters at Warndon Primary School in Edgeworth Close, Warndon, Worcester, collected 28 parcels and delivered them to local elderly residents.
Year six teacher Lynda Morgan said: “The children really enjoyed giving. We took them around to their doors and they gave over the gifts personally. It’s the fourth year we have done this and ii’s now a tradition.
“Each household was given two big bags and the response was absolutely brilliant.”
The school has already been sent a card thanking the 56 children in year six for their generosity.
The theme of the festival this year was ‘fruit – fresh, dried and tinned’.
