A FUND-raising lunch for the charity Help for Heroes took place at Newnham Bridge, near Tenbury Wells.
Servicemen and women past and present, including Chelsea pensioner Sergeant Dave Jackson, took part in the event hosted by Captain Peter Morgan and his wife Gillian.
Among the guests were Richard Jones, Mayor of Tenbury, an ardent supporter of forces charities. His own mayoral charity for the year is Combat Stress, which helps servicemen and women who are suffering from mental illness. The lunch is expected to raise about £2,500 for the charity.
The amount will be added to the £17,500 that Captain Morgan and his son Guy have already raised for Help for Heroes with a parachute jump.
