WORCESTER Operatic and Dramatic Society (WODS) is pulling out all the stops to ensure its production of Thoroughly Modern Millie is an all-singing, all-dancing success.
The show, a Broadway classic set in 1920s America, tells the story of an ambitious woman who abandons small town living to for the glitz, glam of New York, where she hopes to marry for money rather than love.
Rebecca Davies is taking on the lead role of Millie Dilmount and she has been given some words of wisdom from actress Amanda Holden, who played Millie in the 2003 West End Production.
Holden emailed Davies to congratulate her on landing the role and added a few tips to make the show a memorable.
Georgina Delo, who plays hotel landlady Mrs Meers, has received similar advice from ex-Eastender Anita Dobson.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is being staged at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, from Tuesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 31.
