A MAN has died and five other people injured in a car crash in Worcestershire.
Two cars were in collision on the A442 between Shatterford and Kidderminster shortly after 7pm yesterday.
The driver of one vehicle suffered multiple injuries and, despite efforts by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics, died at the scene.
The passenger of that car, a man in his 20s, was thrown from the car during the smash.
He suffered a head injury and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. His condition was not thought to be life threatening.
A family of four in the second car - including a man believed to be in his 40s and his three young daughters aged eight and 12 - suffered relatively minor injuries.
They were treated for shock, whiplash and seat belt injuries by crews before being taken to the Royal for further assessment.
