A 25-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after plunging from a roof.
The man was putting up scaffolding on the roof of an industrial unit owned by Adroit Modular Buildings, in Trow Way, Diglis, yesterday.
Firefighters, ambulance crews and police were called to the scene with the injured contractor lying on the floor of unit, having apparently fallen through the roof.
He had been working on the building’s fibreglass skylights at the time of the accident.
Ambulance crews and medics were assisted by firefighters in making the man comfortable and lifting him into a waiting ambulance.
