A CONVOY of motorbikes and scooters rode through Droitwich to mark the anniversary of the death of a popular Droitwich biker.
Friends and family of Stephen Bywater gathered to remember him two years after he was killed at the age of 42 in a motorbike accident in Wales.
People gathered at the Robin Hood pub, Rashwood, on Sunday before then making their way to the Dovey pub, Stalls Farm Road, where they celebrated his life. The procession of bikes was led by Mr Bywater's daughter, Paige Bywater.
His brother, Kevin Bywater, said: “I would like to send a big heartfelt thank you from all of the family to the Olympics Scooter Club and the Worcester Alliance and Redditch Scooter Club, as well as all Steve’s friends who helped make this special day one to remember.”
Mr Bywater, who lived at Bays Meadow, died following a collision involving two cars in Llandrindod Wells in Wales while riding his Buell motorbike.
Mr Bywater and brother Kevin, who were nicknamed “the two Teds”, were regulars at the Dovey pub. He was known by his friends for his distinctive Japanese tattoos that covered much of his upper body and some nicknamed him “Tattoo”.
Mr Bywater, who was born in Kidderminster, was often away from home and travelled all over Europe for his job as a lorry driver.
