CHILDREN dressed up as colourful book characters for the day at a Worcester school.
To celebrate Children’s Book Week, pupils and staff at the Broadwas CE Primary School dressed as their favourite book characters.
All the staff dressed up as characters from Red Riding Hood and treated the children to some improvised drama as they acted out a rhyming version of this well-loved traditional story. Everyone booed as the Big Bad Wolf locked granny in the wardrobe but there were cheers of excitement when Red Riding Hood saved the day with her saucepan.
New headteacher Mark Allen said: “The whole week has been a tremendous success with the children taking part in a wide variety of book week activities which they thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks to everyone who took part and made the day such a great success.”
