A CITY centre cat fight has resulted in a young woman being forced to get help with anger management.
Vicki Kirkman despised another woman at the Bath Road Project in Worcester – a centre for vulnerable, homeless youngsters.
At the end of July the pair bumped into each other outside Worcester Shrub Hill station and after a brief exchange of words Kirkman grabbed Michaela Brooks by the hair, pulled her off the wall and punched her in the head and chest.
The 20-year-old admitted assault when she appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court and was sentenced to a 12 month community order.
Magistrates were told it was not the first time Kirkman had assaulted Miss Brooks.
In mitigation Ruth Edwards said: “This is not all completely one sided, these girls have a general enmity towards each other and whenever they are within 10ft of each other one will say something that sparks the other off.”
Mrs Edwards said Kirkman had recently moved back with her mother after being homeless for several years. She said Kirkman had stopped using drugs she no longer saw Miss Brooks.
Kirkman, of Trent Close, Droitwich, was ordered to pay £85 court costs.
