A MAN continues to be questioned by police following an alleged firearms incident yesterday.
Armed police swarmed into the Gillam Street area of Rainbow Hill shortly before 3pm on Monday after reports of a domestic incident.
A man in his 20s was later arrested in Lansdowne Crescent on suspicion of threats to kill, assault and firearms offences.
Detective Inspector Adrian Todd said: “Armed officers, a police helicopter and a dog handler were called to support response officers due to the nature of the report.
“This was believed to be an isolated, domestic incident. Enquiries are ongoing.”
