A TEENAGER has been disqualified from driving after being caught drunk behind the wheel.
Edward Ruscoe had downed two shots, one Jack Daniels and coke and one vodka and Redbull and was planning to get a taxi home.
He realised he could be fined for leaving his car in the car park so moved it around the corner.
As he was doing so Ruscoe was stopped by police in Farrier Street, Worcester, and a breath test revealed he had 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Eighteen-year-old Ruscoe admitted drink driving when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.
In mitigation Susie Duncan said: “He feels ashamed to be in court. This is so out of character.”
Ruscoe, of Comhampton, near Stourport-on-Severn, was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
