A HEREFORDSHIRE pub has become one of the first to stock a beer brewed specially for returning troops.
The Live and Let Live in Whitbourne, near Worcester, served Peace Keeper to customers at a fund-raising day.
The pub also held a car boot sale and harvest auction to raise £800 for charity.
Landlord Debbie Johnson said: “We are proud to support the troops and Peace Keeper seemed to go down well with all those who tried it.”
The beer was brewed by the Willoughby Brewing Company in Whitbourne. Ten pence from every bottle will be donated to the charity Help For Heroes.
A bottle was also presented to Territorial Army soldiers from the 4th Battalion Mercian Regiment on their return from Afghanistan.
Private Richard Carson said: “After such a long time away from home it was a very welcome surprise.”
