PARISHES across the county will be asked if they have a spare bus shelter for a Worcestershire village.
Schoolchildren are facing a winter of bleak mornings as they wait for the school bus to collect them from Hospital Lane, Powick.
There is no shelter at the bus stop and instead of paying for one, Powick Parish Council is trying to find a second hand shelter.
“I do feel sorry for the kids, they are going into school soaked,” said Councillor Tom Wells at the parish council meeting.
“Is there anything we can do for them?”
The council’s clerk Michelle Phillips suggested contacting other parish councils to ask if they have disused shelters.
