A 47-year-old Bewdley man has been sent for trial at Worcester Crown Court after a teenager died when she was struck by the mast of a boat being towed through the town.
Mark Tissiman, of Kidderminster Road, denied causing the death of Sarah James by dangerous driving.
He was at the wheel of a Range Rover on the B4194 Dowles Road when the mast hit a Rover car being driven towards him in the direction of Button Oak.
Miss James, 19, of Redstone Drive, Highley, Shropshire, who was a front seat passenger in the Rover, suffered head and neck injuries on June 4 last year.
She later died in Selly Oak hospital, Birmingham.
Judge Amjad Nawaz fixed the four-day trial to start on November 2.
He granted the defendant bail.
