MORE heartfelt tributes have been made to Jade Tyler, the missing Worcester teenager whose body was found in a field last week.

Sixteen-year-old Jade disappeared from Worcestershire Royal Hospital’s accident and emergency department two days after Christmas, sparking a high-profile search operation.

Her body was found on Thursday in a muddy field oon Pershore Lane, close to junction six of the M5, by a woman carrying out survey work.

Neil Morris, headteacher at Christopher Whitehead Language College where Jade was a student for five years, said teachers and pupils were struggling to come to terms with the news.

He said: “It is such a tragedy and has knocked a lot of people for six. Some of our teachers and students had been out looking for her and we thought she might turn up at school, but she didn’t.

“She was a lovely girl. It was just such a short life. Everyone is in shock. No one wanted to believe the body was Jade.”

He described Jade as a vulnerable girl who suffered from bipolar disorder but had a huge support network at school.

Mr Morris said: “She did not find it easy but she did superbly and left school with seven GCSEs and went on to college to do a hairdressing course. She was a bit of a tomboy but I will always remember her looking like a princess at the school’s valedictory ball.”
