POWER cuts have temporarily closed the city’s magistrates court today.
Many of the lights were out at the court building in Castle Street and all the morning’s hearings were being adjourned.
People due before magistrates were left standing outside in the cold as legal advisors and court staff informed them of the problems and advised them on making alternative arrangements.
An engineer from electricity supplier Central Networks is understood to be investigating the problem.
