ASPIRING actors and dancers from Dines Green Primary School in Worcester, paid a visit to the Swan Theatre to meet the cast of Robin Hood.
The youngsters enjoyed a sneak preview of the dance routines and were able to ask professional actors questions like 21-year-old Lucy Abbs.
Miss Abbs, who was raised in Worcester and attended St Mary’s Convent School, recently graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and told the children that while working as an actress is fantastic, it is hard work and you have to handle rejection if you fail to land a part.
Simon Bell, who is returning to Worcester to play Robin Hood, and Gathan Cheema, one of the lead male dancers, talked about their television experiences.
Bell made it through to the last 24 in the BBC show Any Dream Will Do, while Cheema made it through to Simon Cowell’s boot camp in the 2006 series of X Factor.
