A SUCCESSFUL ploughman’s lunch held in early November at Rotary House raised more than £300 for charity, president Margaret told the monthly meeting. She thanked all those who helped.
Honorary member Jill Jennings received her badge at the meeting before Esther Crossley introduced the speaker Stuart Potter. He described the work of Noah’s Ark Trust, based in Worcester and founded by Lady Coventry to support youngsters from ages five- 18 going through the trauma of bereavement. Linda Gillespie gave the vote of thanks.
The Christmas coffee morning takes place at the home of Wendy Moseley on December 15.
President Margaret attended the remembrance service on behalf of the club.
