WORCESTER Gold cheese was among donations of the dairy product given to war veterans during a special ceremony.
The Dairy Council’s annual ceremony of Christmas cheeses took place on Wednesday, December 3, when veterans at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea were honoured with donations.
Worcestershire was represented by Malvern Cheesewrights from Whittington which donated some of its Worcester Gold cheese.
Dr Judith Bryans, Director of the Dairy Council said: “We are very grateful to Malvern Cheesewrights who kindly donated their Worcester Gold cheese, and are certain that the pensioners will enjoy eating it during the holidays.”
