A DROITWICH company providing residential and retirement properties with life-saving technology has been awarded the Investors in People standard.
Cirrus Communication Systems is one of three companies that form Cirrus Building Technologies. Together they form part of the Peverel Group, a management and retirement organisation.
CCSL supplies, designs, installs and maintains a range of systems for the residential and retirement sectors, including warden call, door entry, access control, fire detection, CCTV and emergency lighting.
The company, which employs 138 staff, the majority of which are highly-experienced and trained engineers, was described by assessors as having a “unique family culture not often found in a business of this size”.
It was also praised for the way it shared information with staff, promoted face to face meetings with management, had introduced apprenticeship schemes and was linked to a number of industry bodies.
Assessors were equally impressed by the organisation’s PRIDE philosophy which urges its employees to demonstrate professionalism, respect, integrity, dedication and efficiency at all times.
Andy Davey, head of Cirrus Communication Systems, said: “This is a fantastic vote of confidence in our business. We set extremely high standards which our dedicated engineers and support staff consistently meet. We are also committed to providing our staff with the best possible training and offer them with opportunities to progress their careers.
“We are particularly delighted that the Investors in People assessors recognised our unique family culture and the commitment we make to ensure the communication between management and staff is as strong as possible.”
