FATHER Christmas will put in an appearance at the official opening of a new children’s centre in Ledbury.
The centre is purpose-built within the grounds of Ledbury Primary School but will deliver services throughout the community.
To celebrate its official opening, a fun-filled open day will be held on Wednesday, December 17, so that families and carers can learn about the services on offer.
The day begins at 10am with story telling, songs and rhymes followed by lots of art and craft activities.
Santa and his assistant Elf will arrive to meet some of the children and families and Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, Councillor Jenny Hyde and Ledbury Town’s Mayor Keith Francis will open the centre at 11am.
Coun Hyde said: “I am delighted to be opening this new centre formally.
"I remember looking around it when it was just a shell of a building.”
