HERE is the winner of Wychavon District Council’s school Christmas card competition.
The council’s chairman, Councillor Jo Sandalls, invited schoolchildren from across the district to design the front cover of her Christmas card.
In first place was Molly Troth, aged nine, of Swan Lane First School, Evesham, while Isabel Boyd, aged eight, of Holy Redeemer Catholic School, Pershore, and Melissa Milward, aged 10, of Overbury First School, Overbury, came second and third respectively.
Councillor Sandalls said: “It was very difficult to choose between the many fantastic designs we received, all the children made a huge effort, but in the end we chose Molly’s lovely design of two penguins in the snow. We thought it was bold, bright and very festive.”
A judging panel got together and chose the winners on Wednesday, November 12.
