FAMILIES looking for somewhere different to go this Christmas are invited to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum.
There are a host of activities on offer over the festive period for both adults and children, starting on Saturday, December 13 with The Art of Bromoil.
There’s the chance to join the Bromoil Circle of Great Britain for a one- day workshop, learn the techniques involved in this 100-year-old art.
It’s suitable for adults and the workshop runs from 10am until 4pm and costs £25.
On Tuesday, December 6 there will be Cunning Cards and Beautiful Boxes, when artist Sue Mallows will show you how to create unique boxes and cards, using a range of papers, folds and simple techniques to make several items, which will be ideal for Christmas gifts. It’s also suitable for adults and the workshop runs from 10am until 4pm and costs £25.
Then on Thursday, December 18 under-fives are invited to enjoy Christmas fun with a glitter-spangled workshop, making a Christmas stocking and a magical winter wreath. The cost is £4 per child.
On Friday, December 19 there will be tree dressing with Edwina Bridgeman. Spend the day creating tree decorations. Edwina Bridgeman is known for her magical wooden stick people and she will talk about her work and the inspiration behind it.
The workshop is suitable for adults and children over 12, and runs from 10am to 4pm and costs £25 per adult/£16 per child.
There are also free drop-in workshops on Tuesday, December 23, Saturday, December 27, Monday, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30 when people of all ages can have a go at creating their own Christmas tree decorations.
