FESTIVE fun beckons at Hanbury First School where pupils have been busy helping prepare for the school’s Christmas Fayre today.
As well as collecting new and nearly new items for the various stalls, the children have been making jumble jars – decorated jam jars.
“The children have really enjoyed designing and filling their jumble jars at home and the response has been incredible,” said Julie Allman, chairman of the school’s parent teacher association, The Friends of Hanbury School.
“Thanks to the enthusiasm of the pupils and the support of their parents, we’ve been inundated with donations for this year’s fair and we’re hoping it will be our best ever, enabling us to raise enough money to buy some new PE equipment.”
Open from 2pm until 4pm, Hanbury School’s Christmas Fayre is designed to give visitors a little bit of Christmas magic. Father Christmas will also be making a visit.
