TWO new directors have been appointed to sit on the board of Worcestershire Primary Care Trust.
Christopher Burdon and Tony Hadfield are appointed non-executive directors.
The PCT board makes key decisions about health spending, policy and planning the future of healthcare in Worcestershire.
The PCT manages our doctors, dentists and community hospitals.
Mr Burdon lives in Rock, near Kidderminster, and has worked in senior executive positions for metal processing but is now retired.
Mr Hadfield lives in Belbroughton, near Bromsgrove, and completed two periods as a member of the UK Competition Commission, during which time he also provided advice to overseas governments. His early career was in both the public and private sectors rising to director of engineering. He also spent 12 years as chief executive of two companies in the gas and electricity industries.
The men will serve a term of four years starting this month. Dr Bryan Smith, chairman of Worcestershire Primary Care Trust, said the appointments would add great value to the board.
