ACROBATIC dancing on ice is drawing crowds to Malvern Theatres.
The Russian Ice Stars returned to the Worcestershire theatre this week with a spectacular show, Cirque de Glace, that combines circus skills with dancing on ice and awe-inspiring stunts. Earlier this week, the cast invited your Worcester News reporter Lauren Rogers to put on some skates for a free lesson.
She said: “I was quite apprehensive as I’d never been ice skating before, but I had a very patient teacher in John Hamer, who explained every step.
“I was a bit wobbly, but managed to stay upright and even shuffled around the ice stage a few times.
“It was good fun and watching the cast rehearse was incredible – they make it look easy.”
Through visual affects and Olympic standard skating, Cirque de Glace explores the creation of the planet, man’s evolution and technological progress.
The show runs until Sunday. For more details call 01684 892277 or buy online at malvern-theatres.co.uk.
