A MAN was airlifted to hospital with head injuries following a crash on the M5 motorway near Worcester.
The male driver, believed to be in his 30s, had to be cut from his car after it collided with the central reservation at junction five on the M5 southbound just before 2.15pm.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service removed the car’s roof before the man was taken to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, by County Air Ambulance for treatment.
A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said three other vehicles, including two lorries and a van, were involved in the collision.
There were reports that some drivers had beens stranded for up to two hours.
