HOUSEHOLDERS in Worcester are being urged to look in their store cupboards or buy a bit extra the next time they go shopping to help the poor this Christmas.
On Sunday morning members from all five Worcester Rotary clubs will be making their annual door-to-door Christmas collection, organised in conjunction with your Worcester News.
Red and white plastic bags were delivered to homes last Sunday in the hope they will be filled with tins of food, canned fruit, packets of biscuits or cash donations.
Volunteers will then distribute the food to needy local people to help them enjoy a happier Christmas.
Readers can help by leaving the bags, even if empty, outside their doors by 10am on Sunday morning.
