A MAN who refused to pay his council tax has had a sentence of 90 days in prison suspended.
Robert Hall has got to pay back £2,377.37 to Wychavon District Council.
A set amount of money will be paid every month for the next three years but if he fails to make the payments he will be brought back to court.
The 42-year-old of Winchcombe Road, Sedgeberrow, near Evesham, was found guilty of wilfully refusing to pay council tax at Worcester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 26.
Hall offered no defence as to why he had failed to pay his council tax since 2005.
Wychavon’s revenues manager Jean Mann said: “Taking non-payers to court is a real last resort.”
