A WORCESTER man has appeared before city magistrates charged with assaulting two shop workers and possessing an offensive weapon.
Paul Raymond, of Maple Avenue, Tolladine, gave no indication of plea to the charges, which also included escaping lawful custody, resisting arrest, the theft of £113 of razors and breaching bail relating to an incident on Sunday, November 30.
Raymond, aged 27, admitted an earlier charge of stealing £2.27 worth of crisps and biscuits from discount supermarket Aldi.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Worcester’s Crown Court on Monday, January 5, and Monday, March 2.
