THE Worcester and district branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society has embarked on a poster campaign to raise awareness of the condition.
The chairman Michael Clarke, a carer for someone with MS, says it is the largest campaign ever undertaken by the branch and is designed to raise widespread awareness within Worcestershire.
The first of four iconic posters features a photograph of a woman with part of her central nervous system coloured yellow and the words “More than skin deep”.
Representatives of the branch, including Mr Clarke of the Holloway, Droitwich, have been visiting shops and offices across Worcestershire to ask them to display the posters.
The posters have been created by Kostas Grivas who lives in Newtown Road, Worcester, and suffers from MS.
The poster is the first of four which will be published over the next 12 months.
Together with grant aid and welfare support, the branch encourages physiotherapy, yoga and sport exercise groups for the newly diagnosed.
For more information call Mr Clarke on 01905 773722.
